York Hospital works with many insurance carriers and programs. If you have a specific question about coverage for a test, procedure, surgery or hospital stay, please contact your insurance carrier directly, as coverage varies based on your plan.

What Medicare Advantage plans does York Hospital accept?
York Hospital works with several Medicare Advantage plans. We’ve currently contracted with the following:
- Aetna Medicare Advantage Plan
- Anthem Medicare Advantage
- Generations Advantage (includes Martins Point)
- Humana
- Northeast Community Care / Arcadian
- UnitedHealthcare Secure Horizon
What are Medicare Supplemental plans?
Medicare Supplement insurance is available from various insurance companies and insurers. These policies (there are several) cover some of the expenses not paid by Medicare. Medicare Advantage plans and Medicare Part D are not Medicare Supplement coverage. Insurers offer 10 standard plans plus one high deductible plan, which are identified by the following letters: A, B, C, D, F, G, K, L, M, and N. Plan F also has an option called High Deductible Plan F.

There is a wealth of information available to you online at the state of Maine’s website. Also for residents of York & Cumberland Counties, the Southern Maine Agency on Aging provides older adults and their families with helpful information, resources, and guidance.
